McGregor took to X (formerly Twitter) to question the integrity of the sale, suggesting fans were left empty-handed after Khabib allegedly deleted promotional content post-sale.

Khabib swiftly countered, framing the NFTs as cultural artifacts and dismissing McGregor's claims as a smear campaign. The exchange drew commentary from blockchain investigator ZachXBT, who noted both fighters have faced scrutiny over past crypto-related endorsements.
